ICYMI: Video from The Ed Show

In case you missed it, I joined Ed Schultz, Illyse Hogue and Mark Simone on last night’s Ed Show to dissect Florida’s voter purge and the DOJ’s swift attempt to stop the disenfranchisement of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

I tried not to go too hard on Mark Simone, but I’d be wrong if I said he didn’t have it coming. Be sure to check out the video clip below!

From The Ed Show on MSNBC:

‘ED Show’ Playbook: Thursday, May 31
Thu May 31, 2012 7:13 PM EDT

Senator Bill Nelson and other lawmakers are outraged at what Republican Governor Rick Scott is doing with his so-called voter purge.

Republicans know Mitt Romney can’t win without Florida, so they’re intensifying their efforts to steal the election.  But even they now admit their voter purging system is flawed and election supervisors are revolting against the governor!

Rich Republican donors are whining about all the attention they’re getting trying to defeat President Obama.  But Ed will wipe their nose and straighten them out with the big panel of of Ilyse Hogue of The Nation, Catherine Crier, author and journalist, and Mark Simone, radio talk show host.

Well isn’t this what Obama did in Texas? If he can do it, why can’t Mitt Romney do it?

What party do you belong to?

Catherine, I’m looking forward to your book as I haven’t looked forward to one in a long time. Your independent and balanced voice is needed. That being said, I would avoid appearing on the Ed Show unless it’s really lucrative – if there was ever a partisan hack – and a sometimes misogynistic one at that, who yells at his viewers like a Limbaugh Left (only without the viewers), Ed would be it. I make a habit of checking in with commentators I don’t agree with but I can’t stomach this bombastic oaf.

Hope to see you on some shows with a little more balance – Erin Burnett, Anderson Cooper, Greta and O’Reilly.
