Not only has Congress deregulated the financial services industry, but they have also ensured that regulatory agencies remain underfunded and understaffed.
What a neat little trick! If you want to seem diligent, keep regulatory agencies for appearances but hog-tie them so they can’t do their jobs. Think it’s working?
